SXSW – Congrats to Mona

Congratulations to one of our graduate students, Mona Karsa, whose panel has been accepted as part of SXSW Interactive. It would be hard to overstate what a tremendous achievement this is. Over 2300 panels were proposed, only 100 of which were selected. The list of accepted panels reads like a who is who list of influential voices in emerging media.

Mona’s panel is interesting and relevant, and more importantly, addresses something that can all too often get overlooked in our Western Centric Techno-Utopic rhetoric.
